About Derivatives Documentation
Derivatives Documentation Limited ("DDL") is a family business with a wealth of OTC derivatives and repo and securities lending legal documentation expertise.
DDL was founded in 1996 to fill a perceived market shortage of temporary ISDA Master Agreement negotiators at that time. Documentation teams were often few in numbers and maternity leave and special projects could often overstretch them. Typically DDL consultants would act as temporary negotiators for 3-6 months in those circumstances. Then we mostly worked in clients’ offices; now we are usually offsite. This is still a core business for DDL.
Since 1999 we have developed in-house and online training services in the fields of OTC derivatives and repo and securities lending legal documentation. Since 2011 DDL has presented its own public training courses on these subjects.
Since 2000 we have placed legal and paralegal staff in temporary and permanent jobs in this field of OTC derivatives and repo and securities lending legal documentation.
Since 1997 we have undertaken a large number of consultancy assignments in these fields for our clients. Eighteen of the world's top 20 banks have taken one or more of our services over the past 10 years.
