Training Courses >Securities Lending and the Global Master Securities Lending Agreement (2010)
Derivatives Documentation Limited (“DDL”) is pleased to announce the launch of its web-based online distance learning course on Securities Lending and the Global Master Securities Lending Agreement (2010) (the “GMSLA 2010”).
Features of the Securities Lending and GMSLA 2010 online training course
The course provides foundation knowledge in clear English on the securities lending product and its uses; covers legal and risk issues and provides a detailed commentary on the GMSLA 2010 and its Schedule.
Your progress is tested by a series of multiple choice questions. If you get the answers right you can proceed with the course. If you get an answer wrong, you are directed back to the text to refresh your knowledge and attempt the question again. Provided you give a correct answer, you can proceed to the next stage.
At the end of the course is a GMSLA 2010 Schedule negotiation exercise which represents a practical opportunity to apply what you have learned. There are instructions with the exercise and you will be invited to email your completed answer to Paul Harding, Course Director who will appraise it and advise you of the mark obtained. He will then email you a model answer and a certificate stating you have completed the course.
The course should take 30-40 hours to complete.

Access to course and costs
The course will be licensed to each user through a licence key, username and password. The standard licence will have a four month duration and the course and the practical negotiation exercise will need to be completed in that time. If not, the licence will terminate and the user will not be able to re-access the course.
Periodically, the user will be reminded by email how long is left before the licence expires.
The fee for the course is GBP 425 (plus Value Added Tax in the United Kingdom) per user. With a large number of users in a single organisation, a block discount may be negotiable. This fee is payable by electronic transfer to DDL’s bank account (details will be provided) whereupon a licence will be issued to the user. Sterling cheques in favour of Derivatives Documentation Limited are also acceptable but a user licence will only be issued once the cheque has cleared.
If a user does not complete the course in the 4 months, it is possible to have a one month extension for GBP 50 (plus Value Added Tax in the United Kingdom).
In order to be able to offer this course at this competitive price we regret that currently we cannot accept credit or debit cards in payment.
Unfortunately we need to charge an additional GBP 7 for non UK users in the European Union; GBP 10 for all other users outside the European Union (except for Asia where the charge is GBP 15) for transferring funds electronically. This is because our bank charges these amounts for non UK electronic transfers and there is nothing we can do about it.
