Training Courses >1992 ISDA® Master Agreement

Master Agreement Online TrainingDerivatives Documentation Limited (“DDL”) is pleased to announce the launch of its web-based online distance learning course on the 1992 ISDA® Master Agreement.

Features of the 1992 ISDA® Master Agreement online training

This course provides a full commentary in clear English on the 1992 ISDA® Master Agreement.

This online training provides a clause by clause review of the main body of the 1992 ISDA® Master Agreement.  There is also commentary on the Schedule and its common provisions.  The legal and credit issues relating to this master agreement are also covered.

This course is in modular form with multiple choice questions at regular intervals.  You can only proceed with the training when the questions have been answered correctly. If you get an answer wrong, you are redirected to the relevant commentary to refresh your memory and hopefully you move on at the second attempt.

At the end of the course is an ISDA® Master Agreement Schedule negotiation exercise which represents a practical opportunity to apply what you have learned. There are instructions with the exercise and you will be invited to email your completed answer to Paul Harding, Course Director detailing, in bullet point form, the matters you would like to raise with your counterparty.

Your email will be appraised by Paul Harding who will advise you of the mark obtained. He will then email you a model answer and a certificate stating you have completed the course.

Target Audience

This course is aimed at the following potential clients:

Naturally this list is not exhaustive.

DDL’s existing in-house training services are not affected by this launch and continue to be available.

Access to course and costs

Courses are licensed to each user through a licence key, username and password. The standard licence will have a four month duration and the course and negotiation exercise will need to be completed in that time. If not, the licence will terminate and the user will not be able to re-access the course.

Periodically, the user will be reminded by email how long is left before the licence expires.

The fee for the course is GBP 425 (plus Value Added Tax in the United Kingdom) per user. With a large number of users in a single organisation, a block discount may be negotiable. This fee is payable by electronic transfer to DDL’s bank account (details will be provided) whereupon a licence will be issued to the user. Sterling cheques in favour of Derivatives Documentation Limited are also acceptable but a user licence will only be issued once the cheque has cleared.

In the unlikely event that a user does not complete the course in the 4 months, it is possible to have a one month extension for GBP 50 (plus Value Added Tax in the United Kingdom).

In order to be able to offer these courses at this competitive price we regret that currently we cannot accept credit or debit cards in payment.

Unfortunately we need to charge an additional GBP 7 for non UK users in the European Union and GBP 10 for other users outside the European Union (except for Asia where the charge is GBP 15) for transferring funds electronically. This is because our bank charges these amounts for non UK electronic transfers and there is nothing we can do about it.
